Benefits of Avoiding Steroids of All Types

25January

For the competitive body builders of today, building bigger muscles and that too in a short span of time is a regular temptation, as it is required by them, for the standard body builder there is no hurry to get those bulging biceps, and so for them an option is available which is to naturally build their body. Although it a much slower process as compared to body building supplements but the extended gains far overshadow the undesirable affects which even legal steroids can have on the body over a comprehensive phase of time.

Most steroids are frequently used for short durations of time, which may vary from six to ten weeks after which a reasonable and lengthy break is taken before the person starts the next dose of them. It’s not recommended for anyone to take steroids without taking a break, which is to say that they should always take breaks every now and then. This way the body is not harmed by the steroids as badly and it also helps in building body mass and the muscles of the body.

The benefit of naturally building the body is that even though it’s a slow process, it steadily increases the muscle mass minus the side effects of steroids. Most of us see and hear about the effects that steroids have on a body builder’s body once he stops using them, the most common of them being a very quick and painful loss of body muscles and body weight.

The Negative Effects of Ephedra Diet Pills

15January

During the 80’s Ephedra diet pills became to be considered the most preferred choice of people who wanted to lose weight or who were into athletics. But since then, a lot has happened, which includes Ephedra being banned too.

Ephedra has been around since a very long time. Chinese people made use of it to cure asthma or to treat allergies. It is a produced from a plant. Back then, a very natural form of it was used, but now it is processed and though many consider it to be the best diet pill around, it has side effects too.

During 1997, Ephedra was banned by the FDA. Products which contained more than 8mg of it could not be legally sold. The ban was revoked after a couple of years, but still people complained of side effects of the pills. Finally in 2004 the USA banned the drug from use.
Some of the most common side effects include dizziness, vomiting, headaches and insomnia. People who took the drug in heavy doses had serious side effects, which included seizures, chest pain, racing or irregular heartbeat, heart attack, stroke, and in the very worst case, even death.
